Murphy's Law，不管是譯為墨菲法則、莫非定理、還是摩菲定理什麼都好。這是西方世界常用的俚語，其主要內容是︰事情如果有變壞的可能，不管這種可能性有多小，它總會發生。據說最早是一個叫Edward A. Murphy的航空工程師創立的，並在與航天機械相關的領域被廣泛引用，但之後逐漸進入習語範疇，其內涵被賦予無窮的創意，出現了眾多的變體，Cannonical Murphy's Laws of Combat就是其中之一（從某些詞條的內容來看，我懷疑是在越戰期間總結的）。
我最早看到的墨菲法則的戰場版有33條，最近經常發現一些網站或論壇轉載只有26條的縮水版而且還美其名曰《美軍作戰手冊》（在此不得不BS一下把墨菲法則當成作戰手冊的人，真正的美軍作戰手冊何止140本，人家可是連作戰地區的牙齒保健都有專門的一本手冊的，不信？點這個鏈接看看，這里還只是可公開的部分而矣）。前段時間偶然看到有人轉載了足足有140條之多的版本，我想這個大概是足本了吧，一時興起就試著翻譯了。
感謝lzx0503、p210、胖哥、AKAK545、solo12、虎甲1、黃藥師等QBQer對翻譯內容提出的意見和幫助，感謝好孩子吱提供的建議。這法則真不容易翻譯，尤其是使用了大量的諷刺、雙關、引用，很多翻譯結果都無法完美地達到“信達俗”，所以不得不用括號里加注幫助讀者（尤其是非軍事愛好者）理解。——為什麼不是“信達雅”？這些俚語沒有髒話連篇已經不錯了，要是再高雅起來就更不貼合其原意了。不過好的翻譯不是譯出來的，是推敲出來的，現在這個版本不一定是最貼切的版本，歡迎大家提出更好的建議。
